Before you go
- After a major rockfall, the East Rim Trail no longer connects to Zion Canyon, so use the East Mesa Trail.
- Respect private property along the access roads and park only in designated spaces.
- The access roads can be extremely muddy and impassable in winter, spring, and after rainstorms.
- Trails and roads close for rockfall, floods, and ice. Check NPS current conditions the morning you go.
- Carry plenty of water. NPS recommends at least one gallon per person per day.
